The Mystic’s House is made using a simple glass jar as a base for the air drying clay and is hand painted in acrylics and varnished. It comes with a flicker candle to place inside the jar to give the effect of a fire burning inside. The roof can easily be removed to turn the candle on and off. I use no moulds in my work so this lamp is totally unique and I have signed it on the under side.

Morris the Mole in polymer clay

This is Crach Ffinnant’s old master, Llywd ap Crachan Llwyd and is the second time I have sculpted him but this time from Air Drying Clay. The original I did in Polymer and was sold to a person living in Tasmania. I prefer this version in Air Drying Clay though. He will be spending his first month, June 2024, at an Exhibition in the Pontardawe Heritage Centre, so a good beginning for him. He is approximately 16.5cm in height and is priced at £40 plus postage and packing.

This is the third similar sculpture of this subject I have completed but each are unique. I use no moulds or stamps in my work.
The inspiration for this sculpture, taken from ‘The Prophecy’:
“Wolf-Woman lifted her arms, cloak slipping across her shoulders, reflections of light from the firebrands illuminating her long golden dress, she tilted her head backwards and howled. The music ceased, and silence drifted throughout the night all but for her howl, long, haunting and born deep from within her soul. Black-Wolf sauntered slowly to her extreme right, White-Wolf to her left. They turned simultaneously and sitting on broad haunches, lifted their huge heads towards the moon, emitting a deep howl which filled the night sky, echoing in very person’s ears, near and far.”

Crow the Dwarf is a character in the Crach Ffinnant series of novels written by Lazarus Carpenter and Illustrated by myself. He is a lovable chap but suffers badly with anxiety. I began his construction in papier mache and finished him in air dry clay. He is hand painted in acrylics and varnished.
